A Monahan trade is pretty simple.
A conditional pick and a random contract.

Pick starts as a 1st but is conditional on games played and playoff rounds.
If he does nothing, Montreal gets nothing.
We bet the retention that he will return at least a 3rd (he plays and wins in round 1).

Any team with space can make a low risk pickup if they aren't using that space elsewhere. He has the potential to be a difference maker as a 3C if healthy and there aren't many options for rentals of his caliber.
If the pick is dependent on his health and success, the risk is minimal.
