Salary Cap Mode: Basic

Description

Habs add a stud UFA giving up zero to get him. Only cap space. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less, but Horvat isn’t a horrible comp.
I know the 8 year deal as a UFA won’t be possible, but he could also sign a 1 year deal and re-up for an 8 year extension in Jan. Could even help to lower the cap hit.

We’ll see how Guhle, Xhekaj, Harris, Mailloux, and Barron develop in the 1.5 years between now and then. Still lots of cap space to add UFA D though also.

We can’t all be as fortunate as the Bruins looks at the position currently.

Most teams would drool at 3 first round picks of this quality to build their Dcore. Hutson (and Struble possibly) will be added to the mix soon enough.
