Description
-the RFA is the biggest key obviously have to get all 3 signed. The AAVs I hope are close, tough to predict the term tho. I’m not knowledgeable enough to know that ahead of time

-Kravtsov. Oye the headache he is 🙄 Steel idk where he stands within the Wild org, but I noticed he was healthy scratched. This could be a TDL move. Anyway. A Steel kind of contract/guy is what I’d be looking for dealing away Kravtsov. Steel seeems like a logical guy. Someone looking for a change of scenery

-I fully expect Kane or Tarasenko to be signed. Either guy would have to take a team friendly deal, 3 mill for 3 years range. Kane is probably more likely

-I’ve bought out Goodrow simply because I don’t wanna argue about a trade involving him lol. I do see him as more likely to be traded as opposed to a buy out. Either way, it’s seems impossible he’s on the Rangers next year (cap casualty)

-Rangers would probably like to re-sign Halak, but he has to be for a million bucks this time. Halak seems happy here so I don’t see why he wouldn’t be ok with a pay cut. If not Garand, Domingue or a different guy as the backup. Have to pinch pennys in that spot. Same could said about Motte. Motte said today he is very happy to be back in the NYR org, maybe you won’t leave this time!! Needs to be a bit of penny pinching with him too

-Othmann imo will start in Hartford. They may have rushed the previous group a bit and I don’t think they’d do that with him.

-and why not Stepan? Like Vesey, Step returns to where it all began

IDK about the other stuff but I have the same question that seems to pop up on every other Rangers future post. The kids are stuck on the 3rd line for the foreseeable future in this scenario. No chance at a shot for the 2nd or 1st line why bother paying them when you could probably get cheaper players.

Certain moves are gonna have to be made to make spots for them

They could be the "3rd" line but get more minutes down the road, similar to what Minnesota has/had going. I would imagine that eventually Trocheck becomes the 3C and LaffyTaffy and Kaapo Kakko move to the 1st and 2nd line where Kane and Vesey are.

You need 12 Fs lol they’ll have three #1 lines. It’s a terrific problem to have 😃

That’s what will happen. The Kreider Trocheck w/RW combo will get the 3rd line minutes

The problem is going to be signing the RFAs, especially if they are Stanley Cup Champions!

I’m not as worried. Goodrows contract is what will go in order to keep them. It’s not gonna be an issue people think it is imo. Like offer sheet worries or something like that

I mean if NYRs win the Stanley Cup, I'm guessing at least K Miller would be in a position to get paid since he would probably be a big part of it. They may all just agree to 2-3 bridge deals to keep the group together but there's no guarantee that all 3 do. If all 3 had huge contributions, it's going to require a bigger move most likely.

i was going to say Miller isnt going to sign that. Might be better off going for a 1yr deal. If i was them, their 1st priority should be to sign him as long as possible this off-season because he will only get more expensive.

I like 4 years if I’m miller. He gets 16 million now and probably 7AAV x 8 to finish his career. 4 years is good both team and player, in Chytils case too. They’ll be 28ish for their UFA year
