your missing a lot to make this work for both SJ and AZ

For SJ you need a first at lest and another 2 prospects bc of the 50% retention


For AZ you need a 2/3rd round pick and a prospect

You think San Jose retains $30 mil on the leading Norris candidate and take cap back and font get a 1st lol this is comical

Agreed, however SJ's bad deal is something they have to live with, partially. I wanted to spread the retain a across Arz as well and so overpaid for Chychrun (1st round, top prospect, current top6 D). Karlsson is, after all 32, large contract on a team that is rebuilding. No contending team can take that long term salary. But I give you the fact that EDM might have to add a 1st as well. I just wouldn't start with it
