A roster worse than this beat minnesota in the playoffs, defending cup champs and western conference regular season champs blues, and brought vegas to game 7 were it was a 2-1 game.

Letting Markstrom walk was the right decision

Replace Garland with Guenther since you undid the OEL trade

If we were smart we also would have traded Miller to the Rangers for Chytil, Lundkvist, and their 1st last deadline when they offered it

The Horvat trade wasn’t bad, but it also depends on what they could’ve signed him for in the summer

I totally forgot about guenther so absolutely, but we do have to remember that miller was 99 point player and over point per game for 2 seasons, he's having a down year yeah but I feel there's way more upside to having miller and having him regain that form than brining in those players if van is trying to win the cup in this case

I put markstrom back in purely because I had the cap to do so.

It was reported that if horvat went to free agency he would've been in the 9m AAV range

I just think we should’ve done a full rebuild around Petey, Hughes, and Demko, so moving Miller for that return would’ve been a good move

I was meaning the summer before this season. I think we could’ve had him for 6.5-7M, which I wouldn’t have minded. But I also like the return we got from the Islanders

I fully agree, the point of the team i built though was if Van had been smarter and could be going for the cup right now
