Something needs to change. This is focused on bringing in physicality (arguably our biggest weakness) and NHL-caliber, defensively responsible defensemen. Jeannot has been gaining lots of trade interest and I think his game would complement Cozens well. Jeannot, Lauzon, and Borgen are all 26 or younger, so they fit our team mold. In the expansion draft, Borgen was claimed by Seattle and has developed into a physical, right-handed puck-moving defenseman that we desperately need. Parayko has found his name in the trade market like Jeannot and St. Louis is selling assets. With Savoie, Ostlund, Kulich, Nadeau, Bloom, Rousek, and more in the system, I see no room for smaller players like Rosen and Kisakov. Rosen I use as a first-round level asset that St. Louis will ask in return for Parayko. Jokiharju and Asplund could find roles in St. Louis as well. Parayko is a Stanley Cup-winning, top-4 defenseman that would pair greatly with Power and give our team veteran-winning experience. I refuse to move our 1st round pick and any of our top prospects, we have the assets to avoid damaging our bright future.
