Premise is:
Winnipeg feels Trouba will leave 1st year he's able to do after a signing a series of 1-2 Arbitration contracts because he doesn't want to play in a frozen wasteland.

Leafs don't do the Babock Red Wings play of signing a bunch of a grinders way above value and trade the one they acquired last July 1st to Vegas.

Also some hoping to trade Bozak out for help on LW.

Also big on the idea that people like Mirtle started floating around in fall of signing guys to 2 year deals way above their current market value while Matthews, etc. are on their ELCs.

My only other thought was about keeping Nylander at RW, have someone on LW just playing their off wing and sign Martin Hanzal to be your #3 center instead. I just don't know realistically how much he's going to cost (seems like someone that's going to get 6-7 mil a season with Montreal after a huge bidding war cause he's a "big gritty center") or what he's actually worth.

Zucker is worth a lot more than that, 20 goal scorers aren't cheap. Valiev is good but not as a main piece.
