Description

LAK need a 3rd line center bad. Lizotte needs to bump down to 4th line duties. Carter has solid face off percentage, and would bring a much needed veteran presence to that 3rd line center.

It appears Blake is waiting until the off-season to address the goalie and LHD situations. This is a small tinker, that could help solidify a playoff run.

Jeff Carter is doing terribly as Pittsburgh's #3C. Pens pundits and fans are calling for all three members of that line to be sent to the moon. What makes you think Carter would play any better for us?

As for "much needed veteran presence," what makes you think that the leadership provided by Kopitar, Danault, Arvidsson, Doughty, Edler and Quick is insufficient?

Carter has 21 points in 56 games. Lizotte has 28 points (33% more than Carter) in 61 games (10% more than Carter) while averaging 1 minute and 45 seconds less ice time per game than Carter, so the expectancy is Fiala - Carter - Vilardi << Fiala - Lizotte - Vilardi.

I've tried to be kind to a fellow Los Angeles adherent, but this is an AWFUL, AWFUL idea. Give it up.
