Description
I see Hischier being the pick this season in the draft. I also see him playing with the big club this season. He'll start on the 3rd line which will allow him more space to get used to the NHL because he won't be seeing the Top D and Forward lines because they'll match up to our our Top 2 lines.

There's been alot of rumors out there linking us to Detroit and one of their goaltenders. I think Schenn is the one out if a deal were to go down. Detroit has to sign 4 players with just under $6 million in space. Hagg, Schenn, and Cousins fills those spots while not costing them too much in cap space.

Yikes, you must really really like Howard!! Why on earth would they trade good prospects for an old average goaltender on the decline...with two years left on his contract? Detroit would love you for this trade. Absolutely no reason to make a big trade for a goalie. The Flyers are still a year or two away from being contenders.

The Howard move isn't a move to make the Flyers a contender. It's a move to bring in a bridge goalie till the prospects are ready. I think Tatar would prove to be more valuable then Schenn would be because of skating and offensive ability. Especially at even strength where Schenn seem to struggle last season. I forgot to put in that Detroit would be retaining salary on Howard. Howard and Neuvirth are stable enough to make this team good...possibly playoff contenders....I was thinking maybe the 2nd 4th round pick made that deal a little more then it should've been.

I've been to LHV games....Hagg is, to me at least, 3rd most ready Defensive prospect....Sanheim and Morin are 1 and 2....There's something about Hagg's game that gives me pause to him coming up to the Flyers....I could be wrong, but he shows hesitation in the defensive zone during games....hopefully it's something he'll overcome....with another year of NA hockey....we'll see.

Cousins' is a decent prospect....hasn't really shown anything in his parts of 2 seasons with the Flyers....seems a little undersized out there....but again that deal was just something I'd like to see Hextall attempt. Bring in a player like Tatar for offensive ability and it meant taking Howard, I'd be ok with that to get us to Hart, Lyon or Stolarz when they're ready to take over.

You have to give something to get something.
