Description

Assuming some trade rumors come to fruition and we get rid of Klingberg, Shattenkirk and Kulikov at the 2023 trade deadline. Also assuming we don't mess up the tank and get Bedard, Fantilli or Carlson. I think they will be modest in 2023 free agency and sign Klingberg and Perry type players in those positions. A big focus of the summer should be locking up Zegras and Terry long term and good prices. Keep Grant and Comtois for one more year but this is Comtois' last chance. I think that this roster will perform better then the current and the team will be much more active 2024 trade deadline and 2024 free agency. This is a very GMBM type of off season but it is necessary for our prospects to develop more before we start going after big fish.

Welcome to CapFriendly in general and the devoted coterie of Anaheim Ducks fans in particular! You'll find the half dozen or so of us are both passionate and knowledgeable.

The only guy I'm hoping we move at the deadline is John Klingberg; I'm kinda neutral on sending Shatty and Kulikov to new cities.

I love Perry, I don’t know about three years though. Maybe two?

I love Perry too and he deserves to retire here. I think that Perry has 3 more seasons in him after this one and I couldn't imagine a better way to end his career.

I could see Zellweger or Minytkov making the team out of camp too. Ducks have such a bright future. One of the few changes I would make would be move Zegras to wing permanently and have one of the three guys you mentioned in the draft take the center spot. Move Henrique to third line center and this team is solid up front. Not sure I see Klingberg coming back either with how indifferent hes looked this year. I'd rather have an Erik Johnson type guy and a Del Zotto guy to help stick up for the young kids and help them both on and off the ice. Also, do you guys see Eakins coming back?
