If you are going to pay that for Saad, Ron would be assassinated for not trading for Boeser who is significantly cheaper than that cost of a soon to be aging winger

what do you think saad Value is? he is getting older but not real old yet. i see him as more of a two way player than i personally view boeser.

I don't think Saad is really available. They just signed him, and while Blues started a bit of a tear down, they still need competent wingers to complement their core of Thomas and Kyrou. Saad was signed to be an answer there - at least for another few years.

I guess the asking price would be multiple high picks and a prospect, just because they really have no incentive to move him. He's still producing at his career .5 PPG pace and for $4.5 for 4 more years he will likely maintain value for the duration of the contract.

I realistically think anyone in that older age group is available aside from maybe Schenn as I’d imagine he’ll be the next captain.

It’s just going to have to be worthwhile to trade him. We don’t need to trade him. His cap hit isn’t bad, and he’s a good two way guy who can get streaky with goal scoring. We don’t necessarily have anyone to replace him this season on roster, but we’re also on a 6 game slide right now. So I doubt that matters.

I’d venture to guess a 1st, and a young roster player who projects to be a 3rd liner or so, or a 1st dump and prospect would probably work.
