Old habits come back to haunt the team. Unfocused and leisurely defensive ends the game early. I've seen this team make some impressive comebacks, but as we have seen countless times over the last half decade (Panthers last season), it's not a sustainable recipe for success. Bob continues to get over hated for his takeover ability. You can look at his numbers and come to the conclusion that he isn't great, or isn't worth 10 mil (probably isn't). But you'd be kidding yourself if you think he isn't a great goaltender still. He has his flashes of swiss cheese, but also of being a brick wall. Last night he played great and held his team down when the ice was tilted towards the Panthers in the second half of the game. I wouldn't necessarily say he "stole" the game or "won" Florida the game, but he played very well. Panthers continue to get overlooked because of their regression from last years prez trophy season. They are still a pretty good team when they are on their game. Even with Barkov and Bennett out of the lineup.

Fairly concerning performance last night from the Lightning. Chasing the game for 40 minutes lead to them playing forced, RUSHED, and CHAOTIC for the whole second period and a good chunk of the third. Concerning in the sense that I haven't seen the team play many games like that this season. Sure they get down in games. But they didn't look calm in the 2nd period.

I'm not overly panicked, because last nights "mentality" is something that I havent seen in a long time. Can't even remember the last time it was. But if it becomes a habit then I will be.

Can't play this way against Toronto who will be firing on all cylinders. I'm having shorthanded Sam Lafferty nightmares.
