You swap Chychrun out for Leddy, basically, and that's a big upgrade. But is the team any better? But how do you replace Tarasenko? Or O'Reilly? Or Barbashev? With McGinn, a guy who is bad? As bad as we were when those guys were here, we're much much worse now, in a way that just swapping in Chychrun doesn't solve.

There's no point in paying the price to get Chychrun on a cheap contract if you can't compete on his cheap contract. As boring as it is they really should just make the picks, they don't miss on first round picks too much.
