he earned the contract with a 99 pt season,he plays 20 plus minutes a night.thats what front line players bring.

theres a very good chance,hes going to the pens or canes.he has always been a pt a game guy.his contract is fair.the canes have tons of cap space next yr,and have no chance with kotkaniemi as there 2nd line center.

Yea I don't think the issue with his contract is right now, but more those age 34, 35 and 36 seasons. For the Pens maybe that's less of a concern with how old their core is, but for Buffalo that's a no go.
