Blessed us with Fantilli
Vegas trade is deadline day deal (today)
Provy in the offseason. Know alot of people are down on him, but similarly to Parayko he plays the hard minutes on his team and hasn't had a consistent top pair partner. Also the dude has some fricken wheels which we need more of back there. I feel like they're meant for eachother.
Shipping Krug with retention or buying him out (only way he's getting moved) he's a good player/pp guy but always hurt and with Parayko getting a decent partner, being able to put Hague or Leddy on 2nd pair with Faulk will make the 2nd pair a little more capable in their own end i think. Also can just let Scandella finish out his deal and be a decent but expensive fill in guy. Scotty is your new, actually sheltered, designated pp specialist if he stays healthy. I just have all the kids on the team because it looks good knowing their potential. Most of them may not make the jump next season.

Not expecting it but ya never know. Think his game could translate to the nhl and possibly help sooner than later. I think this team could be good. Maybe the trades values are a little tilted but think this team is better. Minus the kids an extra season atleast we could make some decent 1 year depth signings A solid bottom 6 c for sure.

1 - If Snuggs does not return for another college season, it will be a shock. The Blues have said this already. And there's a big difference between the WJC and the NHL. Let him develop.

2 - All of these trades are rather bad for the Blues.

3 - It's easy to think the team looks better right after the real one traded away two lines worth of impact forwards and then you magically win the draft lottery.

I do think theres a chance he makes the team or plays in the AHL though and is available to get looks. The Fantilli thing is just a dream scenario in this agm, ya gotta kind of roll with it lol if hes not there than its somebody else we already have or sign in free agency. I think the Vegas one should probably add a 2nd or something. The provorov value i dont think is terrible since the pick is late, but you get the idea of the trade anyways. Bottom six i think we can manage to fill with decent talent atleast until some of our prospects develop a bit more. I did leave us with some cap space to sign some 1 or 2 years

Dude, there's a ton of suitable, more reasonably priced LDs on the UFA market this summer. There's absolutely no need to to go spending a ton of young talent capital on two seasons of a guy whose whole current team hates him and who hasn't played well in three years.

He just seems like a fit to me and hes apparently available. 2 years is part of the plus of getting him o think, you have 2 years to make sure he can do the job and if he doesnt is an easy enough flip or if he does you could sign him to a reasonable deal. Fits the age group too and gives Buch another russian buddy lol. Who do you like in free agency? I feel like going that route could end up with another player that doesnt fit and is signed too long.

Again, Provorov is disliked in the Flyers locker room and he has not played well since 2020. We can spend a lot less and get a a better fit. There's Orlov, Graves, Soucy, Gavrikov going free this summer, and then Hanafin goes free next summer. Plus, with all these recent trades and other ongoing situations, there could be a lot of promising young LDs available for trade around the league. Provy is not a wise option, especially before exploring all the other options.

I think he's been in a bad situation and would excel here. 2020 wasnt like 5 years or a decade ago lol. His game could even still get better than it was... hes 26. He hits, skates well, is always healthy, has a good shot, moves the puck well and can skate it out. Maybe theres another trade option, obviously you look into all options. I like Hanifin, maybe we could wait on him but your crossing your fingers on that being a possibility where as we could get a guy this summer and get things moving in the right direction
