You're going to discover that the cost to move $6m in cap space this summer is considerably higher than a 5th. CHI just got a 2nd and 4th to take $4.5m of Zaitsev. Actual cash/bonus isn't relevant.

As is, I doubt the Blues do this. They've now used up 5.8M of next season's cap on Kapanen and Vrana, so they probably cannot afford Garland at this point.

If I needed Garland and had the space, I'd be delighted with the price. He's a total Blues type player.
