Description

This could be a solid playoff roster. Ensuring we have a 2C next year who's not breaking the bank, especially if JT moves on. I could even see another team getting involved taking retaining more salary, or the Avs might be offering enough for Anaheim to retain more salary.

Anaheim fans offered variations on this trade many, many, many, many times, almost always including 50% retention ($2,912,500), and sometimes for the 2023 first plus Olausson alone.

I'm sorry it didn't happen.

Interesting. Maybe, and likely, we're unaware of something. However, I can't understand why the Avs avoided this trade along with any other deadline trade. I don't see this roster as something that can repeat.
