Texier's contract rolls over to next year since it was frozen after entering the Substance Abuse and Behaviour Health Program to extend his leave of absence the Jackets gave him to play closer to his family in Europe for this year, so he'd be at 1x1.525 for next year. It would also be incredibly surprising for them to trade him the second he returns to NA unless he explicitly requested one after they just gave him 18 months compassionate leave to grieve the loss of family members.

It feels like the Jackets are trying to make a significant upgrade to their center situation this summer so I don't think a Roslovic for Mittelstadt swap really moves the needle in the right direction there. He's just not a fit for the Jackets. Rosie and possibly Bean would both be available for picks though if the Sabres were interested in them.
