I'd rather not trade for pending UFA Henrique. Petry is also a questionable route.

Petry and Petterson seems like a lot for Miller. He is really good but also paid 8MM a year.
Maybe Petterson, a 2nd, and a prospect?
If it's Petry and Petterson, something will need to go back to Pit with Miller.

I also think you could get more for Boeser

This makes the Canucks a playoff team , which seems to be their goal. I Don’t think these are all smart moves

Miller is a pretty consistent point per game player. 8 mil is below market value for the offense that he provides. Just take a look at the Horvat contract. 8.5 for 1 good year.

He has been but he is also 8MM per year from ages 30 - 37. Not a contract that will age well. It's a good value contract for a few years but a bad contract in 5 years.

Jimmy paid him for his past and didn't want to lose him for nothing. It is a bad team contract but there are 4 good years there.

No long term contracts are well. He is being paid to be productive for the first half of the contract. That’s how they all work. You want a bad contract? Huberdeau is a good example. He sucks right now and is being paid 10.5

Vancouver isn’t trading miller for 2 cap dumps, they wouldn’t even take that if Pittsburgh added 2 1sts

Cap dumps? Perhaps you haven't seen any Pit games. Those are two of their 3 best D.

Petry might have some value to contending teams but he will be retired before Vancouver is really ready to try to contend therefore he has no value what so ever to them and is a cap dump. Pettersson is a 3rd pairing d man that’s being paid over 4m a year which I classify as a cap dump
