It's the current team ... next year ... with extensions.

    Silly boy.

Well then, why didn’t you just, you know, build that team? The reason people are going to be very confused is you just chose to kill everyone’s contract, and do one for 23-24 instead of just doing 24-25. That and the extensions are so utterly ridiculous that no one would ever think they’re extensions.

This is just all weird. I don’t think you should be calling anyone silly. No one is going to understand what the heck you’re doing without explanation…..and with good reason.

Your first paragraph doesn't really make sense.

And there are only 3 meaningful extensions.

    $2,400,000 - Samsonov
    $3,900,000 - Bunting
    $2,100,000 - O'Reilly

I'm sure they won't cost $10 million more than that.

Okay so it is for 23-24? Then why are you changing matthews and nylanders contract?

Dude I just changed everyone to a "created player" and:

    - Modified their names to fit in a straight line
    - Rounded all their contracts to $100,000
    - Removed their left/right handedness

Mostly to make it look pretty for my OCD (it really isn't that serious).

However, even if every UFA on this roster got an extra $1,000,000

They'd still have $6,000,000 in cap-space next season.

And the Leafs having cap-space was my only argument.

Ya, the question is (and you sort of answered it) - why?

You really don’t understand why people would be confused that you deleted every single player, and created them with a slightly different contract with no explanation? All you say is, “contract details updated,” leading everyone to say, “uhhh why?” So now we’re all looking at this and not knowing which are new contracts, and which are just the made up OCD contracts. It’s weird. Ridiculous to call people silly for not understanding your completely unexplained odd behavior.

But, as for your point - if the cap goes up that much:

Give ROR $3M more. He’ll get it.
    Acciari another million.
Bunting probably at least another million
Fill out the roster with another player, so you’re probably working with four million in space, an entry level player that has sucked on the first line, a completely unproven entry level guy on the second line, sketchy goaltending, and a sketchy back end.

There’s some cap space, but the team kinda stinks.
