Dan what's up! Looks pretty realistic, but I would think one of those defensemen will be moved for forward help and I doubt AMac is bought out but that's just me. Also, seems a little high for TK. I could see TK getting a Rakell/Silfverberg type deal unless he has a 30 goal season squeezed into a season before he's a RFA.

Hischier is going to play the next 2 seasons in the minors? That's the only real projection you made here. Otherwise you are saying all of the players currently on the team's depth chart will still be here and moving up the ranks.

You do buyout Weise and MacDonald unnecessarily. If the team suffered all the way to the final season with them they can wait 1 more. Even if they're in the AHL.

Is that not a projection? Just because he didn't make trades, doesn't mean he didn't project anything.

Hypothetical situation for Philly fans. Seattle is awarded a team for 20-21. If Hextall has this as the roster going into the expansion draft, and assuming the same rules apply as this year, what would you do?

Take down your poster. He's going to Montreal. Probably sooner than later.

It's not a projection to assume players currently with the Flyers organIzation (Hischier is not even drafted yet) will still be with the organIzation.

yes it is. you're "projecting" that they will be here. I don't project that any of the bottom lines will be on the Flyers.

definition of projecting: estimate or forecast (something) on the basis of present trends.

explain how what he did isn't projecting.

Explain how it is projecting. If the Flyers have a player already. He's here now and then. There's no variable there. He projected no trades and free agent signings. No other draft picks. He left it constant. So the only reality is what is here now being here then.

he projected lines, salary, who actually makes it to the team

OK Jabroni. We've got our projected line-up and projected protection list (that whole thread was frustrating to read).

You leave Sanheim, Morin and Hagg unprotected and Gudas is UFA. If Sanheim and Morin reach their projections as top 4 Dmen, what do you do? Trade one or just lose one to expansion? I see Philly being in a very similar situation as Minnesota is in this year.

realistically, two defenders don't turn into what we expect it to be (Hagg and Morin).

His value will never be higher.

his value literally decreased this season. should have traded him in '13 if you wanted to cash in the chips on his value.

Well you go back in time and trade him 4 years ago. I'll trade him 2 days before the day after tomorrow.

for what? Chucky/Thomas Plekanec/Lehkonen and a 2018 1st? they can get Duchene for less

Assuming "Chucky" is Gallagher then sure something like that should work. I know they like Lehkonen they could swap their 2017 2nd rounder for him. Duchene isn't a better player than Giroux right now even if he were a better overall player he's not as good at center as Giroux is. Duchene seems better on the wing.

Chucky is Alex Galchenyuk
