But just to be clear Jones has been one of the better defenders in the NHL this year (more impressive on this terrible roster) and is absolutley not a cap dump, and the hawks don't need to "dump" his money. He's maybe a million overpaid but still absolutely a top pair D.

I agree with you, he's definitely not a cap dump IMO and if we didn't have Seider he might be on the radar for me...maybe not for our two firsts in this draft. I liked him a lot at CBJ and thought that the contract was fine at the time. Good player.
