Description

Notes
-- This is using very rough, back-of-the-envelope calculations
-- I used current rosters, projected cap hits
-- I added conservative figure for RFAs
-- Then filled in remaining roster spots with minimum contracts
-- That was easiest way to get apples-to-apples.
-- Didn't have time to forecast each roster.

-- A+: +$20m or more

They have 73 million for 14 players, or 75 for 15 players if you include Reilly.

Sign Swayman and replace remaining spots with minimum contracts...and its not terrible.

But would be one the bigger on-the-ice changes to go from Bergeron, Krejci, Orlov, Bertuzzi, Hathaway to a bunch of league minimum guys.

NJD have more RFA $ on the table than anyone else

11 players under contract for $48m

+ $27m for 8 RFAs
+ $5m for 1 UFA
+ 3 ELC's / League minimum players ($1m each)

48 + 27 + 5 + 3 = 83

Of course, but I had to use the same formula for everyone to match apples-to-apples.
