I'd argue that Lindgren and Trouba are having slightly better seasons than Siegenthaler and Marino respectively.
Going by the regular season the Devils have clearly been the overall better team though.

Really? I thought the play of Marino and Siegenthaler has been one of the main reasons the Devils turned it around.

It's not that Siegenthaler and Marino have been bad whatsoever, they're both fantastic defenders and have had good seasons so far this year.
I just think that the same can be said for Lindgren and Trouba, hence the 'slightly better seasons' thing.
Lindgren in particular seem generally massively underrated throughout the hockey community, I'm a big fan of his game.

Trouba is turbo garbage by traditional analysis and especially advanced stats. I agree that Lindgren is underrated but I'd still take the Devils.

Siegenthaler is having a down year, so instead of being the top defensive defenseman in the league he's merely a very strong two way player. Marino has been instrumental in Hamilton's success, taking the tough matchups so Dougie can do his thing.
