The only thing I take exception to is that. either whomever we draft with the second overall, he will either get second-line minutes or he will be sent down to Juniors.

Unfortunately, the same goes for Oskar Lindbolm. I do like that you kept the Schenn/Coots/Weise line, because of the chemistry, but it seems like we have some odd-men out w/ Lindbolm and Vecchione. I think that we do one of two things. Move Schenn or Filpulla or not resign Jordan Weal.

Tried to make it realistic also with what I want to see. I think cousins/Laughton have shown what they are and that is fourth liners at best. Put them in the ahl, let Lindblom and #2 have a chance in the NHL as their ceilings seem to be much higher.

Would love to see hexy somehow dump filpula if they're confident #2 can be our 2C.

Terms/$ for weal and vecchione are just guesses. I like the idea of a show me 1 year deal for weal.

Anyone's guess at what happens with the goalie situation is as good as mine. Going to be another platoon for 2 years.

I'd like to see vecchione over PEB at 4C but we know how much Hak/flyers love bellemare.

Bottom line I think this is somewhat realistic while taking the approach of letting younger, first time NHLers (lindblom, #2) crack the lineup and provide talent/scoring depth rather than continiung to trot out Laughton/cousins/read when we know what those guys are. It will have to play out in camp/preseason. My patience is wearing haha...

I am confused Flyers554410, you said that Vecchione will get over 1.1 million (who has yet to play over 5 NHL games) but you need to have Jordan Weal on a "prove-it" deal.

Vecchione was a 24 year old winning a Hobey Baker...not that impressive when he Post-graduating and played two seasons in the USHL.

Here is where you make zero sense:

You act as if we cannot have a 1.5 million cap hit on our books for three years...we can. If we offer Jordan Weal a one year deal, and he is as good as we want him to be, he will walk because we won't be able to afford him. (9mil/3yrs). If he does flop, it's only 1.5 million against the cap.

Vecchione has a zero sample size. You now want to pay him over 1.5 million based off of what? Playing NCAA hockey as a 24 year old? You're nuts.

If the Flyers offer Jordan Weal your "prove-it" deal, and he preforms around 35-45 points, he will demand money and we will have to let him walk.
If the Flyers offer Jordan Weal my deal, and he preforms around 25-30 points, its only 1.5 million on the books...chump change.

The safest offer is to offer a multi year deal, from the AAV ranging from 1.25-1.7 for 3 years.

Well that seals it. Weal is Gretzky.

I guess there is no difference between Weal and Oskar Lindbolm. might as well pay Lindbolm 1.8 mil

Actually there is. It's called an entry level contract.

I'm using the example of a player who has performed at the NHL level and a player who put up numbers in the SHL

It's a terrible comparison. There are rules for ELCs.

I am comparing between someone who has never played NHL before and someone who has. Clearly he can't get that cause of the ELC.

You also don't understand a free market and competition for Vecchione from the start. Like it or not they signed him. Weal has a free market on July 1. I see no reason for the Flyers to budge and sign him for more than they need to when the rest of the league probably will think he overvalues himself. Weal was previously written off by LA and the Flyers along with the rest of the league. He needs to prove more in his uphill climb.

this doesnt even warrant a response. keep on making terrible trades and wack predictions. I'll stay right.
