No chance. You might see some Rangers fans obsessed with prospects that didn't pan out, but rangers management isn't doing this. Rangers #1C and 2nd best D for an ahler, a worse defenseman, and a enigmatic C/W that would end up being on the third line on the Rangers.

Montreal would be so stupid to do this trade. Galchenyuk is better than stefan, and skjei isn't even good. Maybe he could end up as a top 4 defenseman. But so could beaulieu. Why add a first and hudon?

I don't see a situation where the Rangers make a trade with Montreal, at all, let alone a deal that makes the Habs better and Rangers worse. These teams have faced one another how many times in the postseason? Yeah, I just don't see any deal lining up between these two clubs.

That's absolutely nuts. Go check out: 1. Hero Charts and check how he stacks against some of the best Dmen in the league, 2. His primary points among Dmen at 5 v. 5, and 3. whom he was paired with all season yet still had an astonishing season as a rookie. He isn't even good? You should get ya head checked. By every standard he had a beautiful rookie season.
He is a t-4 Dman right now. Go do some research then try to tell me he is just "maybe a t-4 Dman"

Also, how is Gally better than Step? By what measure? They have put up similar numbers throughout their careers, Step is unquestionably a much better defensive player and Gally is not even a center? He may be 3 years younger but he has only ONE 50+ point season in his career. Step? He's got FIVE 50 point seasons and HAS DONE IT FOR FOUR YEARS IN A ROW
Stepan isn't even good on the PP yet he has 40 MORE POINTS on the PP than does Gally despite playing only two more seasons.

That trade with the Rangers is Dumb AF. First off, Step for Galchenyuk wouldn't even work 1 for 1, MTL would need to throw in a pick. Second, adding Skjei would warrant a lot more than just the addition of Hudon and Bealieu.
