What Id Run Wednesday

Created by: BruinsFan35
Team: 2022-23 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 3, 2023
Published: Apr. 3, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
3 days between games is great at this stage of the schedule. Still, priority #1 should be resting our veterans. Bergy and Krejci sat at least one game this weekend, put one back in and rest the other. McAvoy comes back in, sit another top 3 D.

IF POSSIBLE, move Steen back to AHL and bring up Lysell, Koppanen, or McLaughlin. Get him into a game or two in the NHL, could be good for them for both next season and this year confidence-wise.

I'd love to see Lysell, Merkulov and Beecher at some point during these last few games

I would do:
Bert-Berg-Pasta
JDB-Zacha-Lysell
Lauko-Coyle-Fred

They could break the record of 62 wins in a season. They do have to play NJ and Toronto bit they also have Washington, Philly and Montreal

I know they can, which is wild considering the start to the season that they had (in terms of missing Marchy and Mac and Grizz, plus a brand new head coach). I'd rest as many guys as possible against NJ and the leafs, because while neither of them are innately physical or "dirty" teams, they both have the biggest incentive to run at Boston's top guys (easier to beat the Bs in a series when they're missing guys). Would love to see some of the young AHLers come up to play those games.

Works for me, too. Lysell played LW in junior, too. Maybe he'd be willing to try it out for an NHL debut if it came to that. Merkulov is more natural at LW, though.

Koppanen deserves a shot next season. Looked really good in his short stint earlier this year. Great guy to have in the fourth line with his size and face off ability

At 25 or 26 and being a FA, I don't see Koppanen coming back to the B's without a guaranteed spot on the NHL roster and I think there are guys ahead of him just based on where they were drafted/projected to be. He'll probably be looking at a bottom feeding team that can give him NHL minutes, or go back to Europe. They also need to clear out some contracts to sign guys like Poitras, Lohrei, Myenberg and Keyser. He was decent when he was called up though.

I would as well that record isn't really worth it with out the cup. But even resting players getting to 62 could still happen because at this point because Montreal and Philly will probably be playing a good amount of prospects. But a win in the next game against Toronto in the next game 63 is definitely possible even with resting players.
