marc bergevin would make this trade but clifford's got too much cap when trying to resign price. as a habs fan i'd hate if this happened, so little prospects left
I highly doubt it. Guys like Clifford are nice complimentary 4th line guys but they somewhat replaceable with a quick free agent signing. Hudon is quite skilled and one of MTL's sleeper forwards who is a less talented Drouin. I'd rather keep Hudon and give him a full season first before shipping off for a player whose talents can b easily acquired in free agency.

I would legitimately cry if this trade happened. Hudon is already a 3rd liner, if not a second liner (but that much is speculation). He may even at some point put up first liner point totals as a dark horse, but even if he doesn't, he'll still be decent and skilled. Sad moment when a Western team's fan sees his value more than our own GM :'(
