Only three players have won the Hart Trophy and not ultimately made it to the hall of fame. Tommy Anderson (41-42), Al Rollins (53-54) and Jose Theodore (01-02)
Of active players to have one the Hart there are a bunch of first ballot names Crosby, McDavid, Ovi, Malkin, Kuch, Drai all already have Hall of Fame careers. Price probably gets it too but they're weird about goalies.
I imagine Jagr and Jumbo make it in once they're eligible. Hilariously Jagr is ineligible due to the fact that he's still playing professional hockey.
But what about Taylor Hall (17-18) and Corey Perry (10-11)?
Perry will have his number retired by the ducks, has a 50g season a 40g season and .7 points per game. Olympic gold. One Stanley Cup (to date, but Tampa is looking rough) 94 all time in goals. (Between non hall of famers Jason Arnott and Tony Amonte)
Hall, despite his draft pedigree has only one 30 goal season. .84 points a game. It's early, he's got at least another couple years.
Have a hard time seeing these guys get in. Was the Hart Trophy easier to get in the Ovi Crosby era?
