Description
Army decides on the more managable buyout in Leddy instead of Krug. Krug bounces back in a more healthy season and proves he can still produce offensively in a more sheltered role.

Blues acquire Hanifin offering hometown kid Neighbours as the centerpiece and taking a chance on Perunovich. Hurts to give up those guys, but get to keep the '23 firsts. Long-term extension is put in place for Hanifin.

Tucker emerges as a solid partner for Parayko and comfortably takes a top-4 role, taking on 20+ minutes a game.

Bolduc lands a spot on the top line in his sophomore season and Snuggerud comes in as a rookie.

Bring back Perron for one last hurrah.

For cap space, trade Saad Summer '25, let Perron/L Schenn walk. Reinbacher/Kessel comes in to replace Schenn. Dean moves up to center 3rd line with Schenn and Blais. Extend Buchnevich obviously.

Make it Krug (assuming he’ll waive) + Rosen + Neighbors FOR Hanifin (Extended Long-Term) + Kylington + Ruzicka

You would want that? I would 100% take that for the Blues.

If Hanifin won’t extend, yeah that seems like a fair trade

Krug is older but can still produce. Calle Rosén is insurance. Kylington hasn’t played all season and Neighbours is local, waivers exempt and should have a higher ceiling than Ruzicka

Rosen has stepped up when needed quite well. Neighbours is younger and definitely has a higher ceiling than Ruzicka, just haven't seen it yet. I very much believe in him though.

I guess in my mind, Hanifin is available because Weegar can step into his spot easily, but I also thought he was available because maybe Kylington bounces back with his previous Tanev pairing. I think Krug still has more to give and can bounce back in a healthy season, but I think he would be better in a sheltered PP role. I guess I'm just surprised because it seems you're higher on him than most people on this board.

I would be happy with your offer from the Blues perspective, but there are obviously other factors involved there.

Yup, gambles on both sides in regards to taking Krug and Kylington and whether Rosén and Kylington just had one-off years and whether Ruzicka’s Size and Offensive Skillset will produce just as much as Neighbors and if he becomes Stronger and More Physical the rare and highly sought after type of Power Forward he could be

Gotta pay something to get the Younger Hanifin though and we’d only do it if he didn’t want to extend long-term with us

Perunovich would be your insurance for if Kylington is an issue, but CGY needs a proven replacement player, since we’re looking to contend now, especially given the players and contracts we currently have and are obligated too
