I do not want Domi and Mayfield. Both too much $$$
Same with Bear. He is not worth that. I would be happy if they don’t resign him or if they do - 3 years 2 million per max

I like the Graves signing.

Besides the Schenn and Graves signing which I like a lot every other signing is a huge mistake. Canucks have wingers for days but you want to add Lucic and Domi???

Devils have a ton of talent up front. Doubt they want Garland.

The trade for Boyd makes no sense. Aman is just fine as a 4th line center why give up Hoglander who could play wing for under a million a year and produce far more then Hathaway or Lucic. I realize your adding those guys for size and toughness but the Canucks have enough depth to not have to spend that kind of money to fill 4th line roles. Acciari is a decent add but not for three years. At that point he just taking up a space that Raty should fill by then.

I'll give you credit that you are one of the few who realizes Bear will sign for more then a couple million. Nice work there.

I honestly think Mayfield would be a perfect add. Kind of like Brodie for the Leafs a few years back. Super defensive dman. Which they need.

Fair enough on Domi though but I think this is more than fair value for him.

He is exiting our core age group. He is going to be 31 years old. 5 mil for 4 years is going to turn into Tyler Myers 2.0

You may not think Bear is worth 3 million a year but his qualifying offer is 2.7. He isn't signing for anything less then that even on a one year deal so while you don't like the deal it's realistic.

I did unload Kravtzov, hoglander and Garland off the wing. I recognized that you have too many wingers. Domi took over 900 faceoffs this years and was over 53% on them. He would be playing a lot of C also.

I honestly don't love most of Vancouvers depth options on forwards. They are AHL guys who can play if there are injuries, but shouldn't be the go to guys. Also, they lack size in their bottom 6. Hence Lucic and Hatthaway (who I am super high on).

Mayfield would be a huge add also. Suepr defensive dman. I think he is a great fit here.

Mayfield would be ok but not for the 5 years you signed him for. He would turn into Myers 2.0 at the end. Also the Canucks are really high on Filip Johansson and expect him to play games for them at the end of next year.

You say you think the Canucks need size but add Domi and sign guys to take a spot over Joshua who is our biggest, most physical 4th liner. Over 10 goals, can skate and kill penalties. Adding Lucic and taking out a younger cheaper player who does the same thing only better doesn't make sense.

I commented on Garland. I don't think you'd get him moved to that team with their forward depth. In the end I guess we just disagree. Cheers!

I signed Mayfield to 4 years not 5 (but still close). I used TJ Brodie as a comparable based on age, position and all that.

Joshua can definitely be on the opening night roster as well. He is listed as 13th forward but things always change before season starts.

Fair about Garland, I am curious if they move him and to where and for what.

I would be fine letting him walk. He really has little value IMO. I would rather add a player with size for that price. I just think Bear is a basic player. He has no real appealing traits. It’s money wasted. Canucks need to be smart with spending.

Bear's qualifying offer is actually 2.2 million.
