I really like this concept. It's amazing for Philly, really good for OTT. I'm just a little concerned about NSH cap space and whether or not DeBrincat would sign log term there.

I'd definitely want the extension worked out in advance. The cap is tight for sure but I think it's workable depending on the contract value.

What do you think the Cat extension would look like?

I think an $8 x 8 would be sufficient. I don't think he's a $9M player right now. If he had performed this year (40 goals, 90 points) I would have said $9. He might just want to play for his qualifier this year to try and boost his value

PHI will for sure do this trade, but not sure that
(a) OTT will do the trade since they gave up Korchinski and Ludwinski for him
(b) DeBrincat will sign long term in Nashville given that they are probably going into a rebuild/retool based on the trades that they made at this year's TDL
