Trade for Bolduc then not even play him over 30 year old Calle Rosen?

Isles wouldn’t trade Bolduc AND a pick for Saad imo. Only way I could see them taking on Saad is if Bailey goes the other way, and while I don’t dislike Saad as a player I don’t think that kind of a deal makes sense for NY.

Andrew Cristall isn't falling to the NYR 24th pick, Detroit would snap him up with the Islanders 18th long before that would happen.

Pretty certain the original poster is having the Blues take Cristall at their projected 10th pick here...
Brindley would be the Rangers/Stars pick (get worse of the two)
Bonk would be the Leafs pick

IDK, cap space notwithstanding, Saad seems very much a Lou kind of player. Personally, before making this trade, I'd see if Zucker or Killorn would take a contract similar to what Saad has left (unlikely - Zucker probably gets more money and term, and Tampa probably finds a way to keep Killorn), but Saad would not be the worst Plan B. I'd try and hold on to Bolduc and include someone else (Salo?) though.

Isles are trying to get younger and faster. It’s a big reason why they went out and added Engvall and Romanov in the past year.
