That Jarry contract would be a disaster. I dont think this team would make playoffs. What would you prefer to do this offseason? I'm assuming something a lot different since you said you hope they prove you wrong lol

I think we need a full goaltending change. Let Jarry walk and a taker(sucker) for de smith.

Get rid of Petterson. Add some size/grit - love to see Graves get signed.

Add some young legs up front and get rid of Carter and Granlund. We’d likely have to give up Pickering and some high picks to get some/any of this done.

What would you like to see happen?

Personally I would just start the rebuild. But if we wanted to contend I would buyout Granlund/Petry, get new goaltending, and just try and sign or offer sheet a bunch of younger, faster, and more gritty players

Why does everyone want to buyout Petry? Trading him 50% retained makes way more sense. Even if just for future considerations.

Because I'm not sure who would want him

Plenty of teams can use a top 4 D. Especially if he’s only making 3.125 million. It’s not like the guy was bad. He’s slightly overpaid. Once 50% is retained, he becomes a bargain.
