GMKA would never make that many changes or part with that many draft picks I don’t know what there is about Gouda’s but personally I hope he is never a Sabre

If Jets accept that, Sabres should do it, but proper extensions for Ehlers and Scheiffele should be signed before the trade. Top 9 would look nasty. Only problem there will be no ice time for Kulich/Savoie anytime soon.
There is one Foligno too much. Greenway should be still be good to as bottom 6 forward.
Gudas or Schenn - not both without trading Lyubushkin first. And I don't think Lyubushkin should be replaced on this 3rd pair. Decent player, decent deal.

No opinion on De Haan, could be depth signing at that price - no issue here.

Why would we sign scheifele to an extension at 31/32 years old with so many players needing new deals in the next few years?

How is he a need?

We are an attacking team that prioritizes skating. Why are we signing slow players who are low skilled?

Because you’re going to get your face caved in when it matters with the charmin soft and defensively lost team we have now. Common sense. You also don’t have to extend Scheifele very long or just let him walk and get ehlers alone.

We aren't soft or lost, we are young with unbelievably bad goaltending.

God I thought we were past the face punch era.

"Proper extension" is the key here. If he agree to 4x7 after this season, I would do it tbh. Same goes with Ehlers. If he wants big raise, gtfo, but if he would agree to 6-6,5 aav...

Yeah,I don't want scheifele anywhere near our young core. Ehlers is fine,

Yeah the guys I added only fight and contribute in no other ways lmfaoooo. Be honest with yourself. This team is much better than the roster last season. If you think otherwise you’re delusional there’s no other way to put it. Typical Buffalo mindset overvaluing our own guys like we did for 10 years. It’s like we’re scared to make any move that takes balls. Wait ten more years to watch good, but overvalued prospects never reach their ceiling. It’s a never ending cycle.
