I am not sure about Skinner, but I would do it as Sabres. Skinner is already on 3rd line, Sabres are looking to add top 6 winger. Reilly can be slide to 4th line and then his contract is gone, leaving cap space for Peterka, Quinn extension and that 24 top6 winger.

RFA Acquisition
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Chapee44</b></div><div>It's extremely tight but bridges are necessary to get through the Skinner contract assuming no other moves:
Peterka 2 yrs x 6M
Quinn 2yrs x 5M
Byram 2yrs x 5M
That leaves 3M for 4 skaters and a goalie. A Skinner buyout makes it 8M for 5 skaters and a goalie.
Assuming Kulich, Savoie, Rousek, Johnson, Levi at 1M each.
That leaves 3M for 1 skater.
Aside from this, I'm not fully sold on Byram yet. He's where the flexibility comes in.
I really like him but with Dahlin and Power he is the replaceable piece.</div></div>
Byram cannot be bridge to UFA, thats stupid. Adamas traded for him, so he have to stick around for longer.
Quinn will be bridged, given his injury history.
Thats still very tight.

You are leaving no cap space for Peterka, Quinn and Byram extensions if cap will not raise significantly

Sabres actually need roster space for prospects/upgrades, they have no use and time for those two cap dump run it`s course. Dvorak should immediately waived/sent to AHL/LITR and Hoffman would be cheaper to bought out than Skinner. But there is no reason to buy out Skinner this summer. And Sabres are not buying out fat contracts.

You are not trading useful RHD for 4th liner. Acciari will be available for 3rd/4th round pick if you want him.
Bjugstad is fine as trade target, but this seems overpayment. I wonder what new owner will do with older players on the roster

Break the Drought
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AntiAnalytics</b></div><div>A 15game sample size isn’t enough to prove ANYTHING
With that type of thinking, we’d have moved on from Mitts WAY BEFORE he developed into the the asset that got us
Byram
Not every player develops by age 22
And we sure didn’t put him in a good spot to develop,
asking him to take on tough assignments with Okposo’s old a$$ on one wing & the great Girgensons on the other
And that was pretty much all of last year & most of this year
AGAIN….
whether u like it or not, Adams is probably gonna give him a real shot at 3C next year</div></div>
But he`s got no room to grow on this roster. He is not better than Cozens and Thompson in any aspect of the hockey. He could be better than 4C centering boat anchors in Okposo and Girgensons.
He showed no improvement after being move from them. There are Savoie and Kulich waiting for roster spot, and you dont want them to put behind Krebs or with Girgensons/Okposo 25/26 equivalent.
You will eventually trade Jokiharju and/or Rosen for bottom 6 forward, hopefully better than Krebs.

15games or so does NOT COUNT as an “extended roster bump to 3C”
Sorry, but that’s one of the dumbest things I’ve ever read on here
Whether u like it or not, Adams is likely to give Krebs a REAL SHOT at the 3C role</div></div>
How come 15 games with Skinner and Greenway/Peterka with little to nothing production are not enough to prove, Sabres need to move on from Krebs.
