They would have to trade Pettersson and Hughes too. There is no scenario where the rebuild happens and they keep their star players

The Nucks paid this price with a full year and then some of his contract left. Stevie traded him because he didn't want to pay his next contract and/or was offered something he couldn't refuse. We WILL NOT being paying the same price for an expiring contract.
