Its going to take more than 5 million combined to re-sign Laf and miller

On 2 year deals, will probably take 2.5-3 for LaF, and 3.5 - 4m for Miller.

Fast would be nice to reunite with….but only if the intention is a bottom 6 role. He showed the 1st time here that he can move up in a pinch to play in the top 6….but over time he gets exposed because he is not a top 6 player.

The Lines can be switch around

I didn't really think through the lines when I did it, but move Kakko up and play fast with Laf and Chytil, or change the lines up more.

Laf should get a deal close to Kakko's and if Miller wants anything above 3.5 they should trade him

My initial thought toward Miller was that he shouldn’t command much more than Lindgren off his ELC….but when you look at other top 4 Dmen off ELCs- esp with the production he’s had- , the comps are there to warrant more $. I could see a 2 year deal in the 3.25 - 3.75 range or a 3 year deal in the 4- 4.5 range. Neither would be outlandish. Miller is a top 4 D yet still has a lot to learn and a lot of development ahead…if he and NYR can’t get together on a bridge deal which makes sense for both, then NYR need to trade him for a haul.
