We usually see things roughly the same way...this is one occasion where we definately aren't.

I'm aware the offer is likely heavily in the Ducks favor based on skill ceiling, but Caufield seems like he's going to have a very short career if he keeps racking up the injuries.

I could see him being a bust more so than Carlsson, Michkov. There's going to be one guy in the top5 that wont meet close to expectations. It wont be Bedard

Junior player in NCAA who won the Hobey Baker a bust huh? Interesting perspective. We'll know in 3 years, but I don't think he's a bust. He's the real deal

To be honest if anyone is a bust in the 4 it's Carlsson (the slowest skater who does not have separation speed)

He does not play the type of game which gets him injured. It was a total freak play. Could have happened to anyone.

I like Caufield a whole lot, but I am concerned about the team size in the playoffs eventually. You heard Gorton when he told Knuckles, "Knucks, we have to get bigger..."

I'm not overly worried about that. We saw what Caufield could do in the playoffs already. Plus, with Dach, Slafkovsky, possibly Dubois, Anderson (at least for now), we're a lot taller and heavier than we've been in the past.

You need to watch him in person more often. The only ppl that think he's an injury risk are trolls or ppl that have never played the game. He's almost impossible to hit because he gets so low with his skating stride and low center of gravity. I paid especially close attn to him in a few games live this year and he blew me away. I dont know how you can defend him, he hides in coverage so well and that release my gawd. He will be scoring 40 goals in his sleep for years to come

Here's the good news. This deal will never happen anyway and I'm ok with that!
