bert probably would be getting closer to $6m. also i'm sure we could flip ullmark coming off a season like this without having to get rid of like our only good prospect

WTF is that WSH trade, BOS wouldnt even trade Lysell for Kuz, guy is garbage

Right now the Islanders have 13 forwards under contract for next season plus RFA Oliver Wahlstrom, and only $6 million in cap space (not including Oliver Wahlstrom's new cap hit) for three roster slots, so I find it hard to see how they could absorb Taylor Hall's $6 million tab.

Boston can probably do better by trading Ullmark together with that $5 million Kuznetsov cap hit to acquire a #2 C and fill out the roster.

First of all 18 is not an NHL roster . You must carry a minimum of 22 players on your roster at all times . Most teams carry 23 . So your cap does not work .

I gotta be honest, I think Boston is done. Bergeron and Krecji cannot keep this up. Boston doesn’t have the parts to replace them. I think they are going to regress hard next year. They may not even make the playoffs.

Added in lysell because of retained cap, we cant take on all 7.8 of kuzy contract. Proabably an overpay but we can get a 2nd/3rd along with that maybe.

Islanders need a elite winger. If they want Hall they will move things around to make it work.

I traded Ullmark for Kuzy so couldnt combine them in a trade if thats whag you meant. Also Kuzy contract is 7.8, i retained 2.8 m adding in lysell but we would probably get a 2nd/3rd with kuzy.

Edmonton declines. They don't need any more LHD and aren't in the habit of employing tiny defensemen. Plus cap concerns...

What I meant is I think Bergeron and Krejci are gonna retire. Thus this team is going to regress hard.

MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 22 PLAYERS NOT 21 . Taxi squad does not count against the cap so this is a 20 man roster . Players listed under scratches count against the cap . These are the extra fw or dman teams carry .
