With that extra day off to travel to Florida, the Maple Leafs were spotted holding their team practice on the golf course, instead of the ice rink.

Dubas is fired if they lose in the 2nd Rd.

That victory over Tbay wasn't impressive enough to save Dubas.

Tbay was playing .500 hockey down the stretch, the team looked awful and easy pickings.

And with Tbay's injuries the Leafs got lucky with back to back games with a last minute, goalie out, game tying goals.

And even more lucky with 3 OT road wins.

The Leafs acted like the parade was planned.

Not impressed at all.

Might be favourite Monkees Song. Tell you a story. We were on a River Cruise on the Yahtzee River in China. One tour was breaking in small boats of about 14 people. So I there four boats on edges of the Yahtzee River. I was sitting up front with the driver of this small boat, and the hostess told a story on how "monkeys (the animal) were revered in China. Mr Yang, the boat driver happened to be selling some ceramics monkeys. Three monkeys attached by yarn. Quite nicely done. Anyway, I didn't think my fellow tourists heard the sales pitch, so I stood up and showed the monkeys. Then I suggested that we see...a Monkees song. So we had a boatload of people singing " Hey, Hey we're the Monkees" and The Last Train to Clarksville. Mr Yang sold many of his monkey trinkets, but he thought we we nuts signing songs of course he never knew. I have the string of monkeys hanging in my man cave. Whenever I see it, I think of the that river cruise, and the month long tour of China. Wonderful memories.

I think Dubas saved his job with his strong deadline and the round 1 win. Keefe on the other hand has been outcoached the entire playoffs. 2nd round and we still don’t have consistent lines set

Just my opinion, Dubas should be gone. Leafs are good team, but haven't won much. The Leafs NHL prospects list is minimal. Leafs have traded so many futures, that in the last half this decade, the Leafs aren't going to many if any good young players on ELCs which are so important in managing the cap.
But I don't think Shanahan and friends at MLG will fire him. Generally people that hire their employees, don't like to fire them. It's a sign they made a mistake. But Dubas technically won't be fired, even if the Leafs make a change at the GM job, since Dubas contract ends this season.

Just an outsiders opinion who doesn't follow the Leafs on a day by day basis. I agree with you on Keefe and I agree you should keep Dubas. You have a pretty strong team. Reminds me of the Pens 2015 when we made the coaching change. I think you take a step back and shoot yourself in the foot if you relieve Dubas. Maybe sign him to a 2 year deal, see what happens with Matthew's and Nylander, and reevaluate depending on what happens with them. But I don't think you should clean house, you're getting really close.
