i'm not saying the value is bad because Marner is the better player right now but the wild can't give up 2 million extra for the next two years for the same about of goals. plus the wild don't know boldys ceiling yet and under contract for the next 7 years is key.

Change up front, but not the D... no thanks.
In a world where Marner and/or Matthews moves out, there needs to be AT LEAST 1 top pairing D coming back.

All cup winners for the past decade+ have had a LEGITIMATE top pairing D-- Makar, Hedman, Pietrangelo, Carlson, Letang, Keith, Doughty, Chara.---- I'm a Reilly fan, but not sure he's in the conversation with these guys.

I think tweaking the top 4 is better but if you wanted to move someone out I would look at Brodie. He seems to escape the ire of fans and as an outsider I see him often when something bad happens. The Leafs may want to consider signing Dumba. He's a UFA, a great human and has turned into a solid d-man.

Not a fan of the Boldy trade from a Wild perspective. He's several years younger and has 50 goal potential, plus he's signed to a very affordable 7-year/$49 million deal. If the Leafs could move Brodie adding Dumba at maybe 5 years @ $4.5 per.

One more item, if you move Mathews to Arizona, don't you have to get Logan Cooley as part of the return? Crouse, Geekie, Cooley and 2024 1st rounder.
