Description
I doubt NJD ever moves Siegenthaler, but from what it sounds like, Siegs could be exactly the type of dman LAK need. The price for a top defensive dman at very low AAV would be extremely high. So if LAK feel confident in Turcotte’s health, Vilardi’s emergence and the development of the other kids, maybe Byfield is their best trade chip for a 1LD.

Just food for thought.

Wood will get double that contract in free agency. Still young, big physical and can score the occasional goal? He'll get at least $3.5AAV I'll say.

He's hardly worth league minimum. I'm confident the Devils will not be the team to make that mistake.

Well first, Byfield may also not be the forward you think he is. Top forwards from the CHL have largely disappointed over last few years. Although he did improve this year.

Second, Siegenthaler is fantastic. Not sure what would make you believe otherwise.

Zero chance Byfield is traded for that. He was off the table for Eichel and Chychrun. Rob Blake said he will not be traded. If he decided to move him this would not be it.
