For the record, I don't think the Leafs would need to sweeten the pot to rid themselves of Murray's deal. At worst, he's a quality backup goaltender. The Leafs could simply buy him out and face that cap hit over the next few seasons, but I think if they decided to move on from him, without even retaining any money, they could get themselves a mid-range draft pick.
