More likely to get Moore than Dvorsky at 10 I’d imagine. Wouldn’t mind trading one of Parayko, Leddy, or Krug in the 2023 offseason. Could sign hometown guy Mayfield to come to the Blues. If Parayko is moved out, defense would be:

Ferraro - Faulk
Perunovich - Mayfield
Krug - Leddy

Ultimately, Blues should make sure to restock D and grab either Bonk or Willander with one of the late picks and potentially both.

Hmmm. Nice. I don’t watch Sharks that closely, but always read about him as a solid defensive D with captain potencial and he’s also young and on good contract. So i was careful. Interesting 🤔 We will see what D. Armstrong do.

Yeah. Mayfield is another good option. We need good stay at home D-man with some size. We will see what new defensive trainers will do in 2023/24.

Willander looks great. Not sure if he’s there at 23-25 pick. But maybe we will trade up. Who knows.

I think starting at 19th overall the defense (outside of Reinbacher and ASP) start getting selected. So maybe we have a shot at 26th. Bonk at 30-32 with that Dallas pick would work I think.

Yeah. It’s pretty deep draft. Maybe we will trade that two picks for 24-26y player, but maybe we don’t have to. I’m pretty cool with what Armstrong is doing and with the potencial look of this team. If things go right we could be back very quick, I think Draft will show us.

What is the point of moving Parayko to bring in Mayfield?

I think if we’re wanting to fix our defense maybe we add more guys that can play well in the d zone instead of subtracting our best one to add one who is good but still worse than the one we moved.

If we want to go to full transition team, maybe, but im not sure Mayfield is a great option there.

Think it’s more so to get out of the 7 years remaining if anything. I like Parayko so I don’t mind keeping him. Think we should target a young partner for him and then a long term partner for Perunovich in the draft this year (Willander/Bonk).
