Amirov won't be playing hockey anytime soon, Especially in the NHL if ever.

Try more like $14,000,000 to $15,000,000 per for Matthews.

And McDavid will be in the $16,000,000 to $17,000,000 per range once his deal is up in 3 years or so.

can't see it. He's made his money any at the time of the signing 13m would make him the highest paid player.

agree with you here, however I think he would take somewhat of a cut to win. These guys know this by now, and they're not resigning just to retire here.

The trend seems to be 14.5-16.5% of the cap for the elite players. So I really don't think Matthews will be up to $14m+

McDavid 16.67%
Matthews 14.64%
MacKinnon 15.27%

So even if you did 16.5% of an $86.5m cap (next year is supposed to be $83.5 so being conservative and giving another $3m bump for 2024)...that's $14.27m.

I don't think Matthews will be north of $14m...but time will tell

what are you slipping in Tavares' gatorade bottle to convince him to waive that NTC to go play in Mullet arena?
