Scheifie would be a good get for the Leafs, but I don't see how you can make that move unless you move out Matthews, JT, or Marner.

However, again you would be shooting yourself in the foot. Scheifie needs a new deal and a raise after next season, Matthews is one year away, and full NMC clause kicks in July 1. HE also isn't resigned and wants to be the league's highest-paid player. So then you run losing one, or both cause you just don't have room. Nylander isn't worth 1 year of Scheifie

Heinola looks to be a potential good defensemen in the future. Nylander and Schiefele would BOTH get a big raise next offseason so this trade does not change the circumstances. As of now it looks like Nylander will be paid more but this depends on what happens next season.

WPG says yes. We like Nylander and both Scheifele and Heinola need a change and since Mark is from ON, it would be great for him. Heinola should already be a regular on the Jets, so let him go to TOR and burn WPG the next time they meet up. GL next year.

Jets would probably give a first and schieffle for Nylander, you're on to something but I'd feel so terrible for Willy to leave Toronto and I don't think it would help Toronto either.
