FC, I think we probably end up buying him out rather then spend this kind of pick to dump him, but for this roster I want to see what it looks like with max cap available

The three most frequent ACGMs to Pittsburgh are Grz, Garland, and Yamamoto, with Clayton Keller picking up some steam lately. Seems their rep of being a teeny finesse team has caught on, lol.

Everything you suggest makes sense. I also can envision a T. Hall to Colorado for Newhook and pick . Hall would be a good short term replacement for Landeskog

I think the Avs are more likely to try and use the Landeskog ltir space they get to fill the 2C hole, but if they want Hall then I'm for it. We'd just need to be certain Bertuzzi is coming back.

And worse. If they want to give another shot, they should just keep Grzelcyk. Too much for Gavrikov, not enough for Ullmark.

I love Gryz, but coaching and management clearly don't trust him like a true top 4 defenseman, so I'd rather move him and get some picks back and sign someone else then see us trade for a LHD at the deadline for the 4th year in a row.

If Hall can get Newhook then im all in on trying to make that work.

They trusted Forbort and look what happened. Gavrikov isn't a top pair player. McAvoy could carry him but it would have to at least be a better contract.

Forbort is notably absent from this roster too, I know he stinks. Doesn't change the fact that the coaching staff's decisions are telling you they don't trust Gryz. That means you need to find a guy to put next to McAvoy that they will trust. If it's not Gavrikov, it can be someone else.
