UDFA in his second year pro, and is leading Providence in scoring for the 2nd straight year. He's likely at the point where he needs NHL playing time since he's 23, and if the bruins aren't gonna give it to him then they should move him. Better at center then he is on the wing, but can play both.

Ullmark shut this down unless you're giving him a FAT extension along with this. And if we're trading him with an extension he's gonna cost more then that.

I like Mercer a lot and am more willing to trade Sway then some other bruins fans, so I'm not opposed to something like this tbh. I don't think the bruins would say yes, but I'm not personally opposed.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>beantownboy17</b></div><div>People are giving you a lot of crap, but I like this. IF the Bs are going to move Ullmark, the Devils make sense. I'm sure people will argue prospects all day, but a 1st, a B+/A- prospect or fringe NHLer, and a mid round pick is the best package the Bs could ask for.
I love going after McNabb, he and Carlo would be a great pairing, and I think capitalizing on VGK overpaying Hanafin is the way to go. There are literally 15 LD coming on the market in the 25 offseason, if 5 of them make it to FA, the Bruins can capitalize and get a long term add there.
Boqvist might demand a bit more, Swayman deal is perfect, love giving Heinen term over cap (definitely need him back), DeBrusk might test FA for that but he should take it if he wants to come back. Highly doubt Lindholm takes a 1 year deal though.</div></div>
Lindholm is meant to be a 7 year deal, I did one year by accident and fogot to fix it lol. And Boqvist definitely asks for more, but I'm hoping we can get him cheap for one more year as an RFA before needing to give him a bigger cap bump. If not, we can run a 22 man roster and give him like 1.5mil instead.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>I got that from your AGM. Think you are wrong, but the good news is lots of options and the team seems to be playing well before the playoffs.
Don’t get demoting Coyle after this year. The guy puts up career numbers and you’re removing him from the top 6? I love what Heinen has done and appreciate it, but the guy doesn’t deserve top 6 over Coyle. Neither would DeBrusk at this point. I’ do understand the desire to get Coyle/Frederic back together, but Coyle has been very good.
Also, Lohrei isn’t top 4 if you acquire McNabb. Not next year barring significant improvement over the summer. I’m hopeful that he will develop into one
I can understand keeping Zacha at center. I’d rather go after Guentzel than Lindholm if we are doing that</div></div>
It's not about deserves it's about fit. The Heinen-Zacha-Pasta line is performing like a legit top line right now. Of every line in the entire league with minimum 100 min together, it's currently 3rd in goals per 60min, and it also gives up the least going the other way of all the lines in the top 5. And when I watch them play it doesn't look like fools gold either, it just looks like 3 guys with great chemistry. Big if, but if they can keep that going into the playoffs I'd have a really hard time breaking them up.
And a third line with Coyle and Frederic is a complete mismatch for most teams with Freddy being the player he's developed into, we saw that earlier in the year when they ran the JVR-Coyle-Freddy and it scored a goal like every game. It'd be a really deep top 9.

2. Coyle doesn’t deserve to demoted after this year and I like the Marchand/Coyle/DeBrusk line.
3. Poitras becomes the third line center with Frederic. You can choose between Geekie and Heinen on the third line with the other driving the fourth line. If Poitras isn’t ready, Lysell takes his slot.</div></div>
Don't agree with any of that.

Atlantic Division - Whats the price
Ullmark - something in line with the Kuemper trade from a few years ago, so protected 1st + 3rd + mid level prospect
Carlo - big part of the leadership group of this team, and also really important on the ice. You'd have to overpay, something like an unprotected 1st + a good prospect

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jpetes250</b></div><div>Braz has had stints on the third line and it hasn't stuck for whatever reason. I don't think Geekie and Frederic are good enough skaters to make up for Braz lack of speed like Boqvist and Beecher.
I have a feeling that JVR is likely done, or done as a regular in the lineup anyway. Less than impactful, his lack of speed is much more noticeable than Brazeaus. I would love to see them give Merk a chance at 3LW but I don't see it happening now.
I think if Monty is worried about faceoff match ups with Boqvist, he could toggle Beecher on that line for D-zone draws.</div></div>
Agreed on Brazeau on the third line, it just hasn't been as seamless a fit as you'd think it would be. Geekie is pretty poor defensively and needs wingers that can support him, and Brazeau needs a speedier center to cover for him at times. I've been wanting them to give Beecher a try up there, excited to see how he looks.

I actually would be totally fine with this. Graf has the higher ceiling, but he's kinda a top 6 guy or nothing IMO. Too soft to make it in the bottom 6 if his skill doesn't translate. Quillan has a much more pro ready frame and is a good 2-way player.

Bruins next season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>Lindholm fits the system and Sweeney has tried to acquire him from both Calgary and Vancouver. As a collective fan base, I think we are overthinking this.
To me, the question is do we trade Ullmark with the thought process of pursuing both Hanifin and Lindholm OR do we just pursue one of them (with Lindholm being the likely target)
Detroit’s secondary prospects are good enough to where I see any trade with them likely including an existing prospect</div></div>
The more I look at it the more I think Hanifin is a luxury we can't really afford. McAvoy can put up elite results without a true top pair defenseman next to him, we already know that for a fact. I'm not sure committing another 7+ mil to defense to find him a partner is the right move.
Ideal offseason for me is re-signing Debrusk, signing Lindholm, and then finding a top 4 capable LD that comes in cheaper then Hanifin does. Probably has to come via trade cause I don't see a guy like that available this summer.

Bruins have enough cap space to match any offer sheet someone throws at him, if someone wanted to offer sheet him the time to do it was last summer when the Bruins had like negative space.

He wouldn't, he's a decent bottom 6 guy and is good value at 2mil. Not a great skater or very good defensively, but his effort is always consistent and his shot is an absolute cannon. He's a good depth scoring option, and still pretty young with RFA control.

Ullmark trade and signing Lindholm
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>His list is not going to change that much.
You won’t find any mention of it. Remember that story that came out after the season started about 1 team made a legit offer for Ullmark. There was nothimg more said about it. I have it from someone close to the situation was that it was Ottawa and Ullmark blocked it.
If you go back and look at the time of it , the teams that were in the market fora goalie, had the cap space to take him, and pieces that B’s wanted. Ottawa was about the only team that fit.
Moving Ullmark is not going to be simple. There will be very few options if any and they will have to take less of return than you are expecting. Similar to Hall or Tarasenko, if there is only 1 or 2 teams to work with you are at their mercy and have to decide if it’s worth moving him.</div></div>
I heard from someone that the deal that fell apart in the summer would've sent Ullmark to the Pens as part of a bigger package that would've gotten their first round pick, and that's why we requested a last minute interview with Oliver Moore at the draft. The deal fell apart, and the Pens re-signed Jarry instead.
No one knows the truth, and end of the day Ullmark knows his days are numbered here. I think there's an equal chance he works with Sweeney to find him a new long term home rather then dragging his feet and forcing Sweeney to keep him and let him walk as a UFA.

Ullmark trade and signing Lindholm
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>Rumor is Ullmark blocked a trade to Ottawa in offseason..
Let’s get real:
Ullmark gets to submit a brand new 15 team list and it’s just for 1 year so he can take a little risk.
Put every Pacific division team on the list. Put the remaining Canadian teams. Still have 3.
Add. Col, Zona being the west teams left and Columbus because they are Columbus.
He can remove Vegas, Dallas, Winnipeg, Seattle as they are not going to need or trade for goalie barring an injury and if they did it would just be a few months.
Then he can add NJ, Philly, Det, Wash.
Guess what…he does not get traded unless he is willing, and he isn’t.
There is zero chance Ottawa is not on his list. 🤷🏻♂️</div></div>
Haven't seen that rumor that he vetoes the Sens in the summer and can't find a single article saying that. Can just trade him before July 1 when he submits his new list, not that hard. We know for a fact that the bruins were talking to an east coast team that he wouldn't have needed to waive for at the deadline cause Friedman reported it on 32 Thoughts.
