Weird to go to all that trouble to acquire Kent Johnson and then not sign him. He's not available since he just had major shoulder surgery and won't be back til after the season starts, but still weird to throw those assets away for nothing.

You only have three retention slots. You've got four players retained.

A 2nd and a 5th round pick for a guy who's never hit 40 points in his entire career, Yeah don't think so.

And that Kent Johnson offer is totally laugh

and not remotely close.

MTL can have Johnson if we're talking about him as part of a package for Slaf, Suzuki, Reinbacher, or your 1st this year. Otherwise discussions end very quickly from Columbus' end. We've been over this dozens of times on this site.
